Chat is the most popular social networking site and one of the most important aspects of online life.
But some people find the way people share their personal information on it too personal and inappropriate.
The site has seen some big changes, with users now required to be a registered user on the site and require a minimum age of 18 to use it.

The site has always been a platform for teens and young adults to connect and socialise, but it also offers a safe space for those with mental health problems, such as anxiety and depression.
But how safe is the chat environment now?
The website recently announced it will be shutting down chatrooms, apps and chat rooms by March 2018.
But the site’s CEO, Matt Green, says the chat room shutdown is part of the company’s efforts to improve its reputation.
“Chat is not a place where people can just go online and talk about anything,” he said.
“We want to build the kind of community that is going to help our company improve.”
He said it’s not easy to change chat rooms and apps.
“We know that many people have an opinion on it.
But we want to make it more user-friendly, so that people can use the platform and be a part of it.”
And the way you interact with others is also important, he said, adding: “If you’re using an app that you’ve never used before, we encourage you to share the app with your friends.”
How do you chat?
How you interactWith the right tools, you can chat in a way that’s safe for you and your family, says Green.
He says a few key things to remember:You should be able to use the chat app you’re on and your chat history should be visible to anyone who is logged in to the app, so you can keep track of your messages.
You should not chat with people who have mental health issues, such a anxiety or depression, he says.
He also recommends that you stay away from strangers, saying: “People are not the problem.”
And, if you’re uncomfortable chatting, he suggests you use your device’s voice control or mute button.
If you have a mental health condition or anxiety, you may want to seek professional help to talk to someone about your issues, he warns.
